481 has by now become H7465 and looks immaculate in this view, taken soon after what would have been its final repaint. This repaint was unusual, and possibly unique, as the bus already carried the NBC Rhondda fleet name before the repaint, which would have been the simpler style with just the plain white double-N.
It has lost the distinctive cream window rubbers but because all the rubbers have been changed the appearance is much neater than it was on a lot of others at the time. For all its fine presentation, for some reason it was withdrawn only later the same year.
