8 is stopped at Cifynydd with the booms down. This will be to allow 11, the vehicle behind on an Omnibus Society tour, to pass.

As can be seen, 8 was in a particularly scruffy state and despite the imminent closure of the system it was repainted after this photo was taken into an all-blue livery with an aluminium roof.
