The Rhondda Hotel in Ferndale was a traditional stopping point for services in the valley dating back to tramway days when there was a passing loop here on the otherwise single-track tramway. The pub had closed by the early 2000s.
382 is displaying a Pay As You Enter board but there is clearly a conductor on board - Rhondda ran very little one-man mileage at this time.
