This gallery covers four Dennis Darts which had coachwork by Marshall of Cambridge. There was a fifth one (60) with Marshall body which was a dual-purpose vehicle bought secondhand - this has its own gallery.
The first two were 68/69 (M68/69 HHB). These were new in November 1994 on Dennis Dart Dennis Dart 9SDL3031 chassis (9m long) and had Marshall B34F bodies. New in the two shades of red and cream livery they initially operated from Bedwas with Caerphilly Busways fleet names but later moved to Porth. On Stagecoach takeover they became first 568/569 then 32968/32969. 32969 moved late in its life to Stroud.
The remaining pair of buses in this gallery are 59/61 (P59/61 VTG). Although these were not fully low-floor they were of a modified design to the earlier buses with a straight (instead of stepped) waistrail. The Dennis Dart chassis were 9.8m SFD412 models and they had Marshall B40F bodies. These became Stagecoach 559/561 and later 33559/33561. 61 saw further use after Stagecoach - it was re-registered P600 BUS and ran firstly for Phoenix Travel, Frodingham, then TD Travel, Bridlington and finally Blue Fox Transport, Peterborough.
