The two variants (and the two operators) of the Pontypridd service are unusually seen together here at Cosy Corner which had become the terminus of the service in 1968/69. The 240 ran every thirty minutes whilst the 244 was hourly.
1271 now carries all red bus livery which does not improve its appearance. It was withdrawn early in 1973 and passed to Lynch, Passage East in Eire by whom it was re-registered NKI 839.
