I have been unable to determine the location of this photograph but suspect it may be on Blackburn Road towards Dunscar.

82 was the first of a batch of five trams which were the first new top-covered trams for the Bolton fleet. One feature to note is the lamp at the end of the balcony which would have been used to illuminate the route letter and destination. One of the clips used for retaining the route letter board (which was bigger) can be seen. Bolton moved to destination and letter blinds later.
