This was Bolton's final new tram design with 139-150 being delivered in 1927 and a final trio 104-106 being the last new trams the following year. 104-106 took the numbers of Bolton's only single-deck trams which had been withdrawn following the closure of the Darcy Lever route on 10th March 1928. 106, by then numbered 406, was chosen to be Bolton's ceremonial last tram in 1947.

139-150 became 439-450 in 1940, whilst 104 to 106 became 404-406.
