This view shows a very new 144 posed for the photographer at Breightmet. Whilst the surroundings have changed quite a bit, the unusual end-of-terrace house visible on the right still stands today at the junction of Bury Road and Milnthorpe Road. The latter road doesn't even exist at the time of this photograph.
