The bus is not completely sharp in this view but I have included it as it is an unusual view. 434 is leaving Cardiff on a journey to Treorchy and has just negotiated the roundabout that once existed where Cardiff Road crossed Western Avenue. The picture is very deceptive and the roundabout isn't easy to spot, not helped by road works apparently taking place which will see it removed completely. The scene is barely recognisable today, Cardiff Road now having two wide carriageways at this junction, which now has traffic light control. The houses on the extreme right still exist, as does the unusual and distinctive stone column.
