UC769 had before 1974 been 106 in the Western Welsh fleet and in Oct-1975 would become UC4469, but it was new to Neath & Cardiff. It survived to operate (briefly) as a National Welsh vehicle.

For a period around 1974/75 the Liverpool and Aberystwyth services moved from their previous stand E17 to the next bay at F22, before then moving back to E18, by which time the separate Aberystwyth services (X11 and X12) had ceased.
