The two trolleybuses Walsall bought from Pontypridd were their first secondhand trolleybuses, to be followed by many others. At the time of their purchase Walsall were also buying twenty-two Sunbeam trolleybuses with Willowbrook bodies, such as the one behind 302, and Sunbeam towed the two trolleybuses from Pontypridd to Walsall.

Previously having been Pontypridd 15, 302 entered service in Walsall in Mar-1956 and remained in service until 4-Oct-1962, being withdrawn from stock on 6-Jan-1963.
