Numerically the first of the 1978 Bristol VRTs, this bus was new as HR3378, then HR1808 and then, just a few months earlier, it had become HR808. It has been turned out in an all-red livery as preparation for an advertising scheme it would carry, as seen elsewhere in the gallery at the Maerdy terminus. Co-incidentally the product it would advertise was Younger's Scotch Bitter which is advertised on the shelter here.
It is being overtaken by Leyland National NS1456 (KKL 527P) on an NCB contract.
