Subject: National Welsh 2105 (F105 YWO)
Chassis: MCW Metrorider MF150/104
Body: MCW DP25F
Location: Treherbert, Station Street
Date: 5-Sep-1991

The VL1 Rail Link connected Blaencwm and Blaenrhondda with Treherbert station and the rail services to Pontypridd and Cardiff. 2105 was painted in this special livery for working the service, sponsored by Mid-Glamorgan County Council.

On a lovely September morning with a fine backdrop behind, 2105 is about to cross the Rhondda river which this far up the valley is more a babbling brook, the sound of which is thought to be the origin of the name Rhondda.
