For a period these Metroriders were all based in Merthyr Tydfil and thus a very common sight there. However, once they had become part of the Rhondda Buses fleet they were rarely seen as Rhondda Buses had no regular services into Merthyr Tydfil. Their appearances were just occasional, in this instance as part of a private hire.
