Chassis: Leyland National 11351A/1R
Body: Leyland National DP48F
Location: Tutshill, Bridge Street

Through traffic still had to get through Chepstow by crossing the Wye using Telford's 1816 bridge which was subject to speed and weight restrictions and, being single-lane, controlled by traffic lights.

In the right background is the railway bridge built in 1962 to replace Brunel's original and very unusual suspension bridge. Alongside this and in front of it from this angle is now the bridge built for the new by-pass road which opened in 1988.

ND1576 is on the marathon route 73 from Cardiff to Gloucester which had a journey time of almost three hours.
