Operating a Park and Ride service on behalf of Taff-Ely Borough Council in the period up to Christmas 1993, 473 appears to be just pulling away having unloaded on Taff Street with the driver watching carefully for pedestrians. This would be one of its last jobs for Rhondda as it was withdrawn the following month.

This bus has received the Rhondda Buses version of the livery with maroon window surrounds and cream fleet names.
