Subject: National Welsh U695 (B25 ADW) Chassis: Leyland Tiger TRBTL11/2RP Body: East Lancs DP47F Location: Merthyr Tydfil bus station Date: c.1991
The Caerphilly Buslink operation may have wound down but U695 still retains the livery, although the "Caerphilly" part of the fleet name has been replaced with the National Welsh name.
This was the time when bus competition really heated up in Merthyr Tydfil and National Welsh ended up using some full-size vehicles on their Bustler minibus services in the town. That is seen here with U695 showing the Bustler brand in the windscrren and working the M27 from Prince Charles Hospital, however the bus hadn't got the letter 'M' on the number blind.
