Subject: Western Welsh 513 (BTG 513J) Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1 Body: Alexander H42/31F Location: Cardiff bus station Date: c.1971
Still looking quite new, 513 pulls out of Cardiff bus station working to Treorchy, the service on which this batch was mainly employed at first.
These services had seen a significant change in demand in the previous few years. Whilst the Monday to Friday service had remained steady at every twenty minutes (with one 321 journey per hour) the Saturday service had dropped from every fifteen to every thirty minutes, indicating a significant shift in leisure habits.
