As dealers, Hughes would register quite a lot of the vehicles they supplied and there was quite a selection of buses registered in the same series as this demonstration vehicle.
One of its first demonstration jobs was to operate for McGill's at Barrhead and this seems to have led to an erroneous assumption that McGill's owned it.
Here it is working for Rhondda Buses, leaving Pontypridd on the 132 service.
