Subject: Merthyr Tydfil B. C. 177 (GHB 177J)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3A/2R
Body: East Lancs B51F
Location: Cardiff, Wood Street
Date: 4-Aug-1977

177 pulls out of Central Square at the start of its journey back to Merthyr Tydfil. It has recently been repainted in the orange and white livery and looks at home amongst the similar-liveried Cardiff buses behind.

This repaint dates from the period when, as an economy measure, offside fleet numbers and fleet names were not applied to repainted buses. This changed not long after the date of this photo with the introduction of a Welsh language version of the fleet name on the offside.

Withdrawn in Apr-1987, this bus did not see any further service and went for scrap.
