Crosville's RELH6G/ECW coach CRG 40 had been demoted to dual-purpose status at the end of 1979 and as a result was renumbered ERG 40 and received the green and white livery as seen here.

It moved to Northwich depot and would have worked these services for just the 1980 season as it was withdrawn in early 1981. It is also seen on the spare land at Oldham Mumps and may well be on the same day as the Leopard seen in the previous photograph.

From an original slide in the David Beilby collection, photographer unknown.
