Caught in the harsh winter sunshine is National N675, one of the earlier examples allocated to Aberdare depot. The pylons on the right mark the end of the power lines erected by Powell Duffryn in conjunction with the sinking of Taff Merthyr colliery, which was an all-electric pit powered by their power station at Bargoed.
