Subject: Rhymney Valley DC 64 (PHB 364R)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU4D/2R
Body: Duple Dominant B47F
Location: Treharris, Commercial Terrace
Date: 22-Apr-1977

The newest Rhymney Valley buses to appear on the Pontypridd to Bedlinog service were these Duple Dominant-bodied Leopards. 64 was just one month old when seen here and Rhymney Valley operation of the service ceased the following September.

In my view this livery worked very well with the Dominant bus body design and looked very attractive, helped by the way the cream band continues around the front under the windscrren breaking up the brown and yellow. Most other single-deckers in the fleet had no cream visible at the front.
