The location here is just above the bus station in Treharris but quite a few years before it was built. 64 is working one of the Saturday Pontypridd to Treharris short workings on the Bedlinog service. This is the Treharris terminus of that working. St. Matthias's Church can be seen in the background.
The small arch in the wall behind the bus would be related to Bargoed House, which was behind the trees on the right and was occupied by the Manager or Agent of Deep Navigation Colliery. It preceded the terraced housing in the area by some years. This house was demolished in the late 1960s and replaced by a nursing home, itself demolished some forty years later and replaced by a larger and more modern nursing home.
