Subject: Darlington C. T. 30 (HN 6882) Chassis: English Electric Body: English Electric B32C Location: Preston, English Electric works In service: 10-Feb-1930 Withdrawn: 30-Nov-1950 Disposal: To W. North (Leeds) for scrap
This was one of a batch of six English Electric trolleybuses which enabled Darlington to open their route to Park Lane, later numbered 5, which commenced operation on 23-Feb-1930.
The nearside destination blind is unusual as it contains a route letter, to my knowledge never used. Route numbers were introduced in the late 1930s.
