Operator: Bury C.T. Fleet No: 52 Registration No: EN 6051 Chassis: Leyland Titanic TT3 Body: English Electric H30/30C Year: 1935
Bury bought this batch of five Leyland Titanics, the six-wheel layout being specified for the Jericho route where it was thought it would improve traction. The five buses in the batch were 51-55 (EN 6050-54).
They only just survived the war, being withdrawn in 1946 when the first postwar vehicles arrived. None saw further service but this particular bus passed to Derby Corporation in 1947. The reason for the purchase is unclear as it wasn't put into service and couldn't have been any use for spares as Derby's only Leyland (a 1934 Tiger) had been withdrawn in 1939.
