Subject: National Welsh 391 (KWO 560X)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3F/4R
Body: Willowbrook 003 Mk. II C47F
Location: Cardiff bus station
Date: 13-Jul-1991

391 is already looking a little weathered in its Rhondda livery, despite Rhondda Buses not starting operation for another six months! The appearance of the bus is probably a combination of a dreary day and that it had been running in this livery since around February of that year, being the first to receive this livery.

It shows the silver/grey fleet name applied in the National Welsh era and later changed to cream by Rhondda Buses. More notably the fleet numbers have lost their letter prefixes despite this not being official practice until the new company took control. It has a Plaxton front fitted in Dec-1988 after an accident.

At the time the 122 service ran from Cardiff to Tonypandy except in the early morning and evening when journeys ran to/from Porth via Trealaw.
