North Western bought twenty-five of these Leyland-bodied Leyland Tiger TS1s in 1929, but despite their apparent fitness for purpose they were all sold after two years. This vehicle 395 (DB 5295) passed to Glasgow General Omnibus in 1932 and became T1 in the Central SMT fleet the following year and wasn't sold for scrap until 1954.

It is at an unknown location working the Manchester to Hull service and I suspect was photographed in 1931. These vehicles were fitted with an internal luggage rack at the nearside rear corner.

Photograph from the David Beilby collection, photographer unknown.
