From 29-Jun-1986 the 183 service was changed to run every twenty minutes, more frequently than previously. The terminal point was also moved to the precinct on Taff Street. On departure buses made a circuit of the town centre running to The Tumble and returning along Gelliwastad Road.

2008 has just completed that loop and is now going to do a quick loop through the bus station before heading off to Old Ynysybwl.
