Subject: Chesterfield Transport 64 (E64 WDT) Chassis: Leyland Lynx LX112TL11 Body: Leyland B49F Location: Alfreton, Hall Street Date: c.May-1988
Derbyshire County Council were very supportive of public transport and as well as heavily promoting it, particularly into the Peak District, they produced really good quality timetables and maps. Subsidised services were branded as "County Bus" as visible in the bottom of the windscreen.
During the day the 244 was a Trent service which ran from Chesterfield to Clay Cross, Alfreton and Ripley but the evening and Sunday services were tendered and worked at this time by Chesterfield.
