In 2012 (a particularly dreadful summer for starting such a thing) a vintage bus service called the Saddleworth Rambler was operated.

The vehicle was very appropriate, being a North Western Bristol L rebuilt after the war and fitted with a Burlingham body.

The tour went from Uppermill, past the Navigation then along Sugar Lane to Dobcross. From Dobcross it went to Delph where it took Delph Lane to climb up to Standedge to Bleak Hey Nook, whence it turned back down to Uppermill. A nice varied trip taking a bit over half-an-hour.
