117-121 were a second batch of AEC 661Ts for Southend which followed close behind the first batch.

This is 118 on tilt test, prior to fitting of the dummy radiator. Along with 117 it retained this "radiator" until withdrawal in 1950, but the remaining three of the batch were rebuilt without it in 1945. They lasted until the end of trolleybus operation in 1954.
