JLJ10526

Subject: Western Welsh UD3071 (TKG 510J)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU4A/2R
Body: Willowbrook DP41F
Location: Talbot Green, Talbot Road
Date: 18-Feb-1978

Western Welsh 1510 (as this bus was originally) became UD1071 in Aug-1974 and then UD3071 in Oct-1975. Whilst smartly presented and showing a full destination display, it has lost some of the trim at the front which gives it more the appearance of one of the bus versions (apart from the livery).

It is passing the junction near the Talbot Arms where Cowbridge Road goes off (to the left as seen here). The junction has now been remodelled with a mini-roundabout. This area was the original settlement around which Talbot Green grew.

This was one of the earlier examples of the batch to be withdrawn, in 1981, and went on to work for the NCB.
