Subject: Creamline JXT 496
Chassis: Leyland Tiger PS1
Body: ECW B35R
Location: ?
Date: late 1950s

In 1935 Birch bought K45 (BLO 978) and K46-49 (CLA 102-105), Leyland LT7s with Birch FC39C bodies. In 1947 they bought K81-85 (HUW 781-785), Leyland PS1s with ECW B35R bodies, whilst in 1948 arrived K90-97 (JXT 490-497), Leyland PS1/1 with ECW C31R (K90-95) or Thurgood C35F bodies.

In 1949 the K81-85 were fitted with new Windover C33F bodies and the ECW bus bodies were then fitted to the LT7s K45-49. LT7s K48-49 were withdrawn in 1952. On withdrawal, the bodies were exchanged with the Thurgood bodies fitted to K96-97. This multitude of body swaps led to the vehicle seen here, withdrawn by Birch in 1954.
