With light rapidly failing, 72 is working the former trolleybus service to Allerton and is being overtaken by a new Atlantean on the Duckworth Lane service. This was just after trolleybus operation had resumed after the break imposed by the coal dispute, although I don't believe the Duckworth Lane service was ever 100% trolleybus afterwards, maybe because of the need to familiarise the former trolleybus drivers with motorbus driving.
