I've a lot to thank this bus for, as I travelled to Greenfield station specially on 23rd September 1977 to photograph it as it had just been transferred from Altrincham depot, so recently that it still carried an "Interlink" plate below the windscreen. I stayed in the area for some time and ended up with a varied and interesting record of Saddleworth buses of the time. It was also a significant personal date as it was a Friday and on the following Monday I started my career proper with my first job after leaving university.
