Subject: National Welsh UC908 (AAL 520A) Chassis: Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3R Body: Plaxton Paramount C53F Location: Carmarthen bus station Date: c.1990
What was originally UC1208 (SDW 924Y) is now UC908 (AAL 520A) but is still the same vehicle! It was a later recipient of the special livery for the TrawsCambria service with red and green stripes.
It is leaving the bus station at Carmarthen and despite the lack of destination blind it can be determined that it is the through working from Bangor which would leave Carmarthen at 1545.
The vehicle for this service was based at Barry and UC908 would continue in service to that town. As a Barry resident it survived longer in National Welsh ownership and only joined the Rhondda Buses fleet after the closure of that operation (and the final demise of National Welsh) in August 1992.
