Subject: Crosville ELL21 (DDM 21X) Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3F/4R Body: Willowbrook C49F Location: Pontypridd bus station Date: 20-Nov-1982
The National Bus Company bought quite a lot of these Willowbrook-bodied Leopards around this time and largely regretted the decision as the bodies did not prove very durable. Most of this batch only ran six years for Crosville/Crosville Cymru and this particular vehicle ended up with OK at Bishop Auckland.
Delivered as ELL524 (WTU 524W) it was re-registered before entering service. It initially carried this rather attractive livery, local identities were coming to the fore and the white National Travel livery became less omnipresent, notably for coaches such as this intended for local express work.
