Rhondda's coach fleet got a welcome boost after the war, with three AEC Regal III O962s with Windover C32F bodies which arrived in 1948 which were 98-100 (GNY 761-763).

They led relatively uneventful and short lives with Rhondda, being withdrawn as early 1958 although it should be noted that many of the single- and double-deck buses bought in the same year were withdrawn at the same time.
98 and 100 were sold to Gillard of Normanton, for whom they ran for about a year before being scrapped. 99 fared a little better, operating for about three years for Phillips of Bagillt.

These coaches were delivered in a red livery with cream wings and seem to have retained the same livery throughout their life with Rhondda. The only change was the replacement of the cast monogram type of fleet name originally fitted to a Rhondda transfer.
