UC1197 was just a few months old when seen here loading up for a trip on the 701, which ran to Llandudno and Rhyl at the time. It carries the TrawsCambria version of the livery applied to these when new, featuring red and green stripes.

It was later re-registered AAX 312A and went through several renumberings, ending up in the Red & White fleet as 897.
