Prince Street was once a short street that led from Mumps to Roscoe Street, coming out opposite the stone entrance leading to Mumps Mill, the mill itself dominating Coronation Street. Immediately beyond on Roscoe Street was Roscoe Mill. The distinct building behind the coach, still there today, was once the YMCA.
This coach was a Bedford YRT with a Duple C53F body. New to Jones, it was working on hire to Yelloway and is using Prince Street to gain access to the parking area at the back of Mumps bus station, as the end of Coronation Street was one-way to avoid conflicting moves with buses leaving the bus station.
