To cut costs several of this batch of buses were only given partial repaints when re-certified in the early 1970s as they were not expected to be required much longer. This meant they retained Manchester red livery, but they received the blue SELNEC flash which didn’t sit well on that livery.

3479 is on the long run to Chorlton and is passing the top of Prince Street.
