Former Manchester Leyland Titan PD2 3682 pulls into the bus station back in 1974 when the trees on the roundabout were just saplings! The stonework on the causeway carrying the railway has been cleaned making the alterations less obtrusive.

From this point the current Metrolink service pattern gives the same links across Manchester as the 82 bus did after it was extended from Hollinwood to Waterhead on 15th July 1963.
