In 1988 GM Buses introduced this revised livery with a deeper orange and no brown skirt, along with a new GM Buses fleetname. Freshly-painted is Hyde Road depot’s Metrobus 5042 on the 76, a service which gradually extended eastwards, being extended to Mumps at bus deregulation in 1986.
