Another changeover at Mumps on a Sunday afternoon in the days before the bus station was built. I had arrived on the bus behind, which was replaced by another Roe-bodied PD2 from the PBU series, 440. This temporary stop outside the erstwhile Friendship Hotel at Mumps was only there a short while, during rebuilding work on the Mumps roundabout.
The Friendship Hotel had closed the previous year, the subject of a Compulsory Purchase Order to allow the building of the bus station on the site, which opened in 1972.
