Oldham PD2/Roe 395 negotiates the bends above Old Tame on 10th May 1966 before the road was re-aligned here. 395 was one of several members of this batch to lose their staircase windows. It's not clear why the modification was made - it may have been a way of getting more advertising revenue from Stardrops, whose adverts were usually found in this location!
