In the GEC archive there is this selection of photographs of the control equipment fitted to Manchester’s 62 BUT 9612T trolleybuses 1301-1362. Although these are of very specialised interest I have included them in this gallery as they are views which do not exist elsewhere and for a few people they will be of great interest. The Ashton equipment fitted to their 8 BUT 9612Ts (82-89) was almost certainly identical.
To help understand the function of the hardware I have also enclosed a copy of the electrical control schematic diagram.
