857 leans a little as it turns into Wood Street at the end of its journey from Maerdy.
Withdrawn in 1995, this bus had an interesting later career. Sold initially to Luton & District and numbered 601 and later 5061, it was later with Galloway European before joining one of the few remaining council-owned fleets. With Ipswich Buses it was numbered 34 and was not scrapped until 2010, having had a very creditable twenty-eight year life.
