Following on from the purchase of an ADC demonstrator in 1926 came three slightly shorter buses in 1927 These had a front entrance instead of the centre entrance on 540. The intention, which was never realised, was to work them as one-man vehicles.

The identity of this vehicle is assumed as it is the vehicle shown on the other photograph. It is parked inside the factory just by the gate leading onto Victoria Road.
