Subject: National Welsh 10 (C110 HKG) Chassis: Ford Transit 190D Body: Robin Hood B16F (on Dormobile shell) Location: Barry, Tynewydd Road Date: 1992
A second view of 10 at King Square taken a few years later. Cardiff Bus sensed a vulnerability in National Welsh and registered several services in the Barry area in direct competion. The bus behind 10 is one of ten vehicles hired from West Midlands Travel to meet the additional vehicle requirement - a Reebur-bodied Dodge S56 numbered 579 in the WMT fleet but given the temporary number 710 when in Cardiff.
10's days with National Welsh are numbered and in May it would be acquired by Rhondda Buses who had sold it by the end of the year to Wilkins of Cymmer.
